- ½ cup Potato chopped
- 1 cup Dalia broken wheat
- ½ cup Green peas
- ¼ cup Moong dal
- 1 Onion medium sized
- 1 Tomato medium sized
- pinch Ginger grated
- ½ cup Carrot chopped
- 4 cup Water
- 1 tsp Mustard seeds
- 1 tsp Cumin seeds
- 1 tbsp Oil or ghee
Dry roast 1 cup Dalia and 1/4 cup Moong dal separately until aromatic and golden.
Heat 1 tbsp Oil or ghee in a pressure cooker and add 1 tsp Mustard seeds and 1 tsp Cumin seeds.
Saute 1 Onion until translucent, then add grated ginger and cook further.
Add tomatoes and cook until mushy. Add chopped vegetables and cook briefly.
Rinse dalia and moong dal, then add them to the pressure cooker with water.
Cook for 4-5 whistles until dalia is fully cooked. Adjust consistency if needed.
Vegetable Dalia is ready to be served.
