- 2 tsp Masoor dal (red lentils)
- 8 tsp Chopped Methi (fenugreek leaves)
- pinch Jeera powder (cumin powder)
- pinch Turmeric
- ½ tsp Ghee (clarified butter)
- 150 ml Water
Clean and wash the 8 tsp Chopped Methi (fenugreek leaves) and finely chop them.
Clean the 2 tsp Masoor dal (red lentils) and set it aside.
In a small pressure cooker, add the methi and masoor dal. Let them soak in 150 ml Water for 20 minutes.
Pressure cook the soaked ingredients for 3 whistles. Allow the pressure to release naturally.
Open the lid of the pressure cooker and mash the cooked dal and methi well.
In a small kadai (pan), heat 1/2 tsp Ghee. Add the pinch Jeera powder, pinch of Turmeric powder and then add the mashed porridge mixture.
