
Green Gram Makhana Curry

Ingredients
- 1 Onion (medium) finely chopped
- Curry leaves few
- 1 Tomato (medium) chopped
- ¼ tsp Coriander powder
- ¼ tsp Jeera powder
- pinch Pepper powder
- 2 Almonds chopped
- 3 tsp Coconut grated
- pinch Turmeric
- 1 cup Makhana (fox nuts)
- 1 tsp Ghee
- 4 tsp Green peas frozen
Instructions
- Heat 1 tsp of ghee in a pan.
- Add finely chopped onion, curry leaves, and grated coconut. Saute until the onion turns golden brown.
- Add chopped tomato and cook until it becomes soft and mushy.
- Now, add coriander powder, jeera powder, pepper powder, and a pinch of turmeric. Mix well.
- Add 1 cup of makhana and 4 tsp of frozen green peas. Stir-fry for a few minutes until the makhana turns crisp and the peas are cooked.
- Garnish with chopped almonds for an extra crunch.
