
Rajgira Upma
Introduce your kids to the delicious and nutritious Rajgira Upma. This recipe features Rajgira flour, also known as amaranth flour, combined with potatoes, carrots, and aromatic spices.
Ingredients
- 1 cup Rajgira flour (amaranth flour)
- 1 Potato small (chopped)
- ¼ Carrot chopped
- 1 tsp Ghee clarified butter
- ⅛ tsp Pepper powder
- 1 tsp Coriander leaves chopped
- ½ tsp Cumin seeds
- Curry leaves few
Instructions
- Heat ghee in a pan.
- Add cumin seeds and curry leaves. Saute for a few seconds until fragrant.
- Add chopped potatoes and carrots. Cook for 5 minutes until slightly tender.
- Sprinkle pepper powder and mix well.
- Add Rajgira flour to the pan and stir continuously to avoid lumps.
- Cook for 5-7 minutes on medium heat until the flour is roasted and turns aromatic.
- Add water gradually while stirring continuously to achieve a smooth and thick consistency.
- Cook for another 5 minutes until the upma is well-cooked and the flavors are infused.
- Garnish with chopped coriander leaves.
- Serve the flavorful Rajgira Upma hot and enjoy!
