
Foxtail Millet Moong Dal Khichdi

Ingredients
- 2 tbsp Ghee
- ½ tsp Mustard
- 3 Curry Leaves
- 1/8th tsp Ginger finely chopped
- ½ tsp Cumin
- 1/8th tsp Pepper powder
- 1 cup Foxtail Millet
- ½ cup Moong Dal
- 6 cup Water bBoiled
Instructions
- Wash and soak the 1 cup Foxtail Millet and 1/2 cup Moong Dal for 2 hours.
- Heat 2 tbsp Ghee in a pan and add the following tempering ingredients in order: 1/2 tsp Mustard, 3 Curry Leaves, 1/8th tsp Ginger, 1/2 tsp Cumin, and 1/8th tsp Pepper .
- Add the soaked foxtail millet and moong dal and pour the 6 cup Water into the same pan.
- Add salt as needed and cook it for 20 minutes or until 3 whistles are given.
- Let it cool down, mash it, and it is ready to serve.
